For those who are fast food franchise owners or know the inner workings, does corporate compensate for coupons and reward redemptions?

I know that Subway doesn't compensate franchise owners when someone uses a coupon and it has become a problem for the business. Does other franchises (Burger King, Popeyes, Dunkin Donuts, etc.) do this also?
