So, been dealing with a health issue for awhile. Finally got approved for FMLA by my employer last week after some administrative hiccups. However, I'm having this issue today of feeling overly guilty because I needed to take said leave, and I'm afraid I may need to take it tomorrow (all depending of course). I know it's there for that specific purpose, but we're in a very busy part of a recent work project and I feel as though I'm letting my team down (even though I know the responsible thing to do is take care of myself first).
Has anyone had any experience using FMLA, and if so, any tips or suggestions to make sure I'm utilizing it properly, and so my oh-so-wonderful supervisor canโt use it against me? Iโm looking for some pretty blunt advice, I care too much about what my workplace thinks ๐คช
