How is a person expected to feel guilt or remorse for actions they didn't undertake?
Post Body

Let's say for the sake of argument that a woman says to a man in an aggressive tone "women have been oppressed by men for centuries", but not as a mere statement of fact. Alternatively, making mention of historical invasions of other cultures or attempted genocides.

Why ought I feel guilty for the conduct of people that existed before I was born?

Why am I suddenly part of a tribe from the moment I'm born, and not judged on my own merits?

What benefit is there to shaming a person who individually hasn't wronged you?

Why are you angry about historical wrongs that happened to your "team" that you never experienced personally?
