What should I do about having no health insurance? (USA)
Post Body

I currently am trying to become a professional poker player, and in the meantime I am making money ā€œunder the tableā€. Since I am not officially employed, I am not part of employee health plan. I am also 26 years old which means I canā€™t be on My parents plan any longer.

I make decent money currently but soon I will run out of My medication and will need to talk to My psychiatrist again. Are there affordable options for insurance for a single person? Iā€™ve heard that private insurance like this is really expensive.

Thanks for the info. To be fair, Iā€™m self employed and will pay taxes at the end of the year as normal lol. Just meant Iā€™m not officially employed by a business with a W-2 and such.
