Ok, so here's the info about the question above.
27 yr old guy. When I go to a bar, or any place that has alot of people, I don't get hit on or receive any attention. This week I have received inheritance from my maternal grandfather, (only grandkid on my mom side.) I have received his wedding ring. So I started to wear it or around my neck on a necklace to remember him by. Yesterday I wore it on my hand, and went to a bar, and started to notice that alot of women were coming to me and talk. Why is this happening?
Edit: thank you for the comments and insights about this situation, moving forward I should not wear my grandpa's ring, so I wouldn't receive any known and unknown attention, I don't want to be in a somewhat awkward situation with anyone else.
If you think a ring gives women validation about a man for a woman, try walking into somewhere (not a nightclub or bar lol) with a very young baby in a pram.
I couldn't believe the conversations that women would initiate.
They were just so open to initiate conversation, always started with a comment about the baby, followed by baby-specific chat, which sometimes became more general, but there was often flirtiness with it.

Again, as has been stated elsewhere, i guess you're no threat. Your primary focus being the little baby, so they're comfortable speaking to you.
