I stupidly bought a car with a now ex. The car is in my name and he is the co-signer Neither of us could have done this without the other and I went upside down from my last car so I owe 35,000 on a Toyota Corolla Since he is leaving me what are the financial options I have. I cannot afford the payment on my own so the car has to go back. He can’t afford them either. I have screwed credit anyway because of him so I don’t really care what happens to that at this point Also I am fortunate just enough to be in a situation where I don’t need a car at this point if that matters I was advised to return the car they can auction it but I’d have to pay the balance?
