Has anyone ever “taken a picture” with their eyes by blinking?
Post Body

I was riding in the car on the way to work and I realized something I do nearly everyday and have been for years.

If it’s bright out and I blink and keep my eyes closed…it’s almost like my eyes took a picture. I can see the “image” behind my eye lids for a few seconds. Like, I could actually tell you structures, vehicles, sizes, etc…everything except colors. It tends to “develop” in yellows, blacks, and browns. It’s deffo not my memory or a mind thing because it goes away after maybe 5-7 seconds. Almost like the “image” is temporarily burned into my eyes.

Does this happen to anyone else or anyone know the answer as to why it happens? I’ve been googling this for nearly an hour and have not found any answers.
