Why don't "nice guys" and other people who complain about being "friendzoned" understand how attraction works?

If someone doesn't find you attractive, they don't find you attractive and nothing will change their mind.
I don't understand why some people think they can change their minds or be given a chance.
Attraction isn't a choice.
If someone isn't attracted to you it just means that you're not their type.
The friendzone doesn't exist either.
You don't choose to feel platonic feelings to someone.
