Are Wikipedia books a waste of money?
Post Body

A couple of years ago I found out that you can order a collection of Wikipedia articles as a printed book. I thought it was a pretty cool idea, and have ordered a total of five so far. However, most people I've encountered online have not shared my enthusiasm, for two reasons:

  1. The information is already free on Wikipedia, so why order a printed book?
  2. The information is going to be outdated, since Wikipedia is constantly updated.

My main rebuttals to the two points are:

  1. Having a collection of Wikipedia articles on a topic of your choice is pretty convenient, and 10% of the money goes to Wikipedia
  2. Literally any non-fiction book is going to become obsolete eventually as we gain more knowledge

So, should I not listen to the people online, or am I throwing away my money?
