Why are animated movies more detailed than animated tv shows?

Post Body

I was watching The Bob’s Burgers movie last night and noticed a lot more shading and definition in the buildings and characters. The tv show normally is pretty basic animation style so I wonder why they add more to the movies when the general public are fine watching the tv show with not as much detail. The Simpson’s movie is the same as well.
