Should I fly to Taipei and/or Seoul since I'm already in Asia?

I got laid off almost 3 months ago. I decided to go to Japan instead of looking for another job. I've been here almost 6 weeks. I need to return home eventually and be a responsible adult. But...
Since I'm already here, maybe I should spend a few days in Taipei, Taiwan and maybe a week in South Korea? Money is not really an issue. I just feel like I'm being a degenerate by being unemployed while travelling around and spending money
