How is a polyester dress slip 'anti static'? Am I missing something?

I read that synthetic materials like polyester are bad for static shocks. But then I also read that slips (for under dresses/skirts) are usually made from synthetic materials, and labelled as 'anti static'. How does that work? Can someone educate me?
