I have a concept for a story, but I think it only works as a fear of the inevitable type story, where the character's death is basically guaranteed from the beginning. Obviously, dead people break the rules of no sleep, but I think I have a framing device that explains why the story would end up on no sleep. Its a multi step process that goes like this
- The story happens, the main character dies
- As mc dies, they leave a series of voicemails to another character, that vary between escape attempts, begging for help, accepting their death, whatever
- mc's corpse is found, police are called, investigation is launched
- mc's phone is found, with a number of voicemails left to one number
- These voicemails are then transcribed as evidence
- The police evidence is then leaked anonymously on the internet on some unspecified "secret" forum, the person who leaked the evidence advises reader's spread it around, save physical copies etc. so that it can't easily be taken down
- Some one who reads the report finds it very spooky scary and share it to no sleep, thinking that as a place that collects statements regarding supernatural encounters, it would be a good place to spread the word.
I don't think this violates the rules, as its not really made clear to me in the main character section whether the main character strictly has to be the one posting, and even if it does, reading the police report could still have made the poster scared, which led them to share it onto no sleep
Anyway, figured I'd check, and if it isn't allowed then I could try a different subreddit.
Thanks
