Hi. I tried NoPoo several times on my long hair in the last few years but always ended giving up after just few weeks mainly due to two reasons 1. My hair became an oily mess 2. I have eczema and hair felt like they weighed way more and either due to eczema or fibromylagia, non-shampooed oily hair made my tension headaches worse.

For unrelated reasons I shaved my head two weeks ago. I read that the oil scalp produces reduces within a few months after NoPoo. I am wondering if keeping short hair by trimming it again in a month or two would help with adjusting with NoPoo strategy. To paraphrase would this help with oil reduction in the long term by the time I manage to grow my hair back if I don't shampoo at all during this period?
