Hello all, Absolutely love how beloved NMS is, I really enjoyed this game when I first got it 2 years ago and seeing how much improvement has been made to the game and the community growth around it, is something beautiful.

As we all know these are trying times, so a way for me to cope is play long(ish) sessions of NMS, finally trying to get to the center. NMS is wonderful to just meander and scan items and not worry about endgame completetion. As I move my way to the center, I found out how to use glyphs and actually using NMS Coordinate Exchange, which led me to the thought that is posted in the title.

As we know NMS has no pressure really, so its kinda tough to stay on task sometimes but lately I've been looking to start a new life on permadeath and using all the knowledge I've acquired now, I know I can handle it. Its' kinda like New game .

Anywhoo, I was wondering would it be possible to create a base to hoard some items, gold, and crafting items for my future self? If I'm able to does that mean that I'd be able to mark the galactic address so when I start my permadeath run, once I'm able to use portals can I go to that base and get the items?

I'm aware that there have been reported differences between normal and permadeath in regards to bases and ships found so I don't know if I can create a base that I'd have access to.
