First off, I just want to say I LOVE this freaking game, however I’ve started running into a similar wall as some of my friends I’ve tried to get to join me and that is that it can get a little bit boring. I for one think some additional ground combat could help spice it up, such as some predatory animals that hunt in packs, pirate camps, pirate raids on settlements, or even military strongholds for any of the 3 major factions that would essentially act like grounded freighters, with loot and a base captain and everything. This could also open up the possibility of new ground vehicles to accompany the other enhancements. This mode would be optional so that people who just want to explore and build don’t have to change up their play style.
