Struggling with Mineral base

I am new to the NMS PS4 population and have just begun the latest expedition, and was looking into building a resource base to make the late phase crafting requirements a bit less daunting. But I'm struggling with finding a proper location/how to build for efficiency, the closest comparison to this that I've ever played was minecraft and this is SO much bigger and complicated.
Any input and advice would be greatly appreciated. Have a fun journey ✌️
