I discovered bindweed among my foundation plants a bit earlier this summer. Thankfully from what I can tell, it’s confined to one small section among those shrubs along my foundation. I’ve managed to pull out new vines every time they sprout, and was even able to dig up a decent length of the taproot. I’ve tried to pull up the taproot further but I think it’s stuck among the roots of the shrubs as it’s very difficult to pull out.
I’ve read a number of posts with a variety of approaches for removing it, so I’m a bit unsure how to start removing the rest of the root. Could I just put the exposed root in vinegar? Any other ideas? If anyone has conquered this awful vine let me know how you beat it!
