I'm so thrilled to say that installing the FocusON web filter has really made a giant improvement on my behalf, thanks and all praise be to Jesus our Lord.

Over the weekend I also went to a men's retreat for the church I attend, and I can't believe how refreshing it was to just surrender to God and feel Him break the chains that binded me and all of us.

While we were there, there was a sermon on how we could combat sexual sin/PMO/fornication/etc. and the acronym for SHIELD can help us fight all temptations toward it.

S- Schedule Biblical Disciplines: Read the bible, Pray, Fast, and commit involvement in the Church.

H- Have Godly Passion Greater than Temptation: When it comes to commitment, passion must exceed temptation. The love you have for Jesus must become the passion of your life.

I- Invite Accountability: Don't be afraid to have an accountability partner. We can't win this battle alone. We're accountable to God first of course, accountability with another brother in Christ is helpful as well.

E- Eliminate Sinful Opportunities - Pretty self explanatory, installing filters or unplugging cable tv, whatever it needs to be to get the job done.

L- List the consequences - Think about what lingering in PMO will cost you; It seperates you from the Lord! It could cost you eternal seperation/damnation! It can cost you friends, family, partners, everything.

D- Discipline Your Eyes and Mind - Train your eyes and minds daily. Train your mind to prevent that second, third, fourth, fifth, and sixth look at a woman. Pray and confess sinful thoughts, and replace it with God's word.

Our purpose should be to Yield to Jesus in times of temptation, I hope this helps to anyone who reads and is seeking freedom. God bless you all, stay strong brothers.
