Why is porn addiction and masturbation such a taboo topic at church?

I just dont understand why? When the majority of males in a America suffer from some sort of porn addiction or masturbation, so it make sense that Christians also suffer from it including myself and other many Christians I have spoken too in private! The problem is the Church dont speak up on it and the Christians also dont speak on it also cause of shame and fear! We have a issue brothers!
