Okay, I think it's finally time for me to be honest with myself and acknowledge that I'm human and I cannot do this by myself. Unfortunately, I definitely don't have a circle of friends I can trust with this, but I know that many people have had successes by coming on here and confiding with the kindhearted people on here. So here goes nothing.
I'm trying my hardest to stop masturbating, and I've tried everything from setting goals to ignoring the calls of the groin, but I always, ALWAYS relapse, hard too. It's caused me a lot of grief, and I know it's feeding from my drive for life to accomplish my goals and be who I am wherever I go. I'm tired of lying to myself and feeling like shit all the time because of this fucking porn addiction! It has certainly destroyed my youthful years (I'm 25 but started since about 15-16) and I'm NOT going to let it control my future any longer.
But I'm excited to start my new adventure here. I think there was something about not masturbating that I was missing. I always thought it was about solving my erectile dysfunction, or getting my nerves/testosterone back, but then I started hearing about how porn literally fucks up the brain, making you fall in love with the technology over an actual, physical human being. And that's just not going to happen. Not to me.
So hi errbody! I'm here to strengthen my self-discipline and learn more about these PMOs I keep seeing around here.
Best place to get started is the sticky post, yesh?
