I think mindfulness can help us a lot on our nofap journey. For those who don't know what mindfulness is, it is a practice of being present whilst non-judgementally observing our own thoughts, whether positive or negative.
With nofap, we are all fighting our urge to masturbate or watch porn. But by continually fighting our urges, we usually succumb to it and then we experience a relapse. But with mindfulness, we simply observing our urges in a non-judgemental way. Our urges derive from a single thought. When we observe this thought and not take any action, the thought will simply pass through us. But if we ignore or fight a thought that leads us to fap, then we succumb to the temptation.
Mindfulness has helped me a lot on my nofap journey.
I'd like to know what are your opinions on this matter.
