Saw a video by Ascension Presents on YT talking about overcoming addictions. And the main point was, generally, all it takes to overcome an addiction is 30 seconds of intense mental effort. Something triggers you and you start getting urges to watch porn? Take 30 seconds and make your brain move on to something else. Or immediately start a new activity. Take a cold shower. But those 30 seconds are crucial. Redirecting your thoughts. It may seem like a mountain to overcome this addiction, but at the end of the day, itβs all about the first 30 seconds and not letting those intrusive thoughts take hold of you.
