As of yesterday I hit 60 days of NoFap. While this is my first attempt at NoFap from using Reddit to track, I have been trying to quit on and off for years and years and years.
So, thank you r/NoFap as a community for the help over the last two months.
The first thing I want to say before talking about the benefits, which is what everyone wants to hear about from my POV, I'd like to stress the most important thing I found out.
It gets harder the closer you get to higher milestones, for example. The first two weeks or so were difficult because I was fighting withdrawal symptoms. But after this initial stage, I went a long time without any mind to P or M. Creeping up to 60 days, I have not necessarily gotten an urge to watch P, but I have had a voice on my shoulder trying to get me to become complacent, saying things such like "Come on, you're about to hit 60 days, you've done great, what's wrong with one time?" So it doesn't get any easier, but using my new mindset has helped me not return to look at images/videos.
Okay, now, onto the gains. What have I experienced in no particular order.
- Increased confidence
-More socializing
-Clarity of mind
-Get tasks at home/work done timely and efficiently.
-Increased sexual attraction to my partner
-Strength increase from more exercise
Was everything simply from doing NoFap. No. But was it a product of stopping NoFap because I used all the free time to accomplish more. Yes!
So, I hope this post inspired someone today. Keep strong and let's keep working to kill this terrible addiction.
