Exhaustion is a good thing - and how modern society is stacked against us
Post Body

So I've just finished a 9 hour shift, standing on my feet for most of it. Normally I work in an office or in a depot so my days are never normally so exhausting. I have spoken to that many people today, helping them with enquiries and getting them through difficult situations; I am mentally and physically exhausted. And you know what, the last thing I want to do is to fap. Can't think of anything I'd want to do less (aside from maybe working another 9 hour shift hahaha)!

And this got me thinking - modern society has become so convenient. Jobs are rarely physically and mentally demanding; we have a whole world of entertainment at our fingertips. We don't have to go anywhere or do anything really that stretches our minds or exhausts our bodies. Quite often our whole life is so undemanding, there is no need for us to strive to do any better, it is no wonder so many of us turn to pornography and fapping. Just to satisfy this mental requirement. Of course, this is a toxic way of doing so. It just provides a distraction from our true issues. This is a sticking plaster we are placing over the true issues that face a truly toxic society that has arisen.

I wonder whether you guys have experienced the same or whether you agree or disagree.

For those of you struggling, I suggest doing things that truly demand your full attention. Something that will occupy your mind and body fully; not a simple distraction.

Perhaps this is why our fathers and grandfathers never had to struggle with this either? Their lives were sufficiently demanding that they didn't need to apply these quick fixes to satisfy themselves.
