Just another friendly reminder that Mint is really horrible. I tried signing up in July, but they had trouble porting my number. I tried for a month, making weekly calls to CS, sometimes twice a week, sometimes an hour at a time, but to no avail. I even had a three-way call with my previous (and now current provider, Consumer Cellular, which has GREAT customer service!), but still Mint couldnāt port my number. I finally gave up, and asked for a refund. Of course I had to escalate this too, and was told I would get one but it would take a week for it to be processed, blah blah. That too was just a run around, as a week later nothing happened. Called again and started the process all over again. Finally talked to someone who said ārefunds only granted after 2 weeks, but you waited a monthā. I explained the situation -both that it took a month because I kept on trying with Mint, and second that a previous CSR already green-lit my refund. This person said OK too, just wait a weekā¦ of course nothing happened. FINALLY I found a CSR on their reddit page, who was responsive and said that the problem was their system just wasnāt geared to give refunds after two weeks. That was about a month ago. Part of me thinks ok, itās only $53 but part of me realizes itās a huge cellphone company owned by a mega-rich Hollywood a-lister, soā¦
So yeah, avoid Mint at all costsā¦ theyāll steal your money and give you nothing in returnā¦
