A quick search of the internet has not turned up any options for MVNO cooperative (other than this one in the UK, but nothing in the US) and I am wondering if anyone knows of any. If not, then would there be any interest in starting one here in the US?
What is a a cooperative, or co-op, you ask? It is a member owned business (think of REI or your local credit union) that provides benefits to its members. The International Co-Operative Alliance defines a co-op as “an autonomous association of persons united voluntarily to meet their common economic, social, and cultural needs and aspirations through a jointly-owned and democratically controlled enterprise.”
As a member of a MVNO Co-op, we could build the MVNO of our dreams. Any interest?
