I have an elderly relative who I am trying to get set up with a basic cell phone. Are there any carriers/MVNOs who can service a simple flip phone? He and a smart phone would not mix. Right now I have him set up on Verizon prepaid with a flip phone, but 1) It’s $30 a month for unlimited and he does not need that much and 2) he has practically destroyed his current phone. Looking to get him a cheap BLU flip phone or something off Amazon, but that’s another topic. Any thoughts on plans and carriers?

Edit: A few hundred minutes a month is more than enough, and all carriers pick up fairly well in our area. He’s on Verizon, I’m on T-Mobile, they both do fine.
