Hi, I abused nitrous for a good 3 month period. One 2kg tank every day. Sometimes even more. I lost thousand of dollars and ended up with numbness in both my hands and my whole legs. I also expericenced severe Lhermitte sign.

TBH I didn’t know about the neurotoxicity caused by B12 deficiency.

I immediately stopped using and went to the doctor. I got B12 injections the first week and then got prescribed B12 pills afterwards.

The first month was hell because nothing improved. I couldn’t work because my hands were stiff and I couldn’t type which led to my mental state becoming more and more fucked up.

Then finally week 6 I felt that my brain fog started to disappear and my numbness become less severe.

It’s now 10 weeks and I feel much better now. The numbness is almost gone and I feel myself again. Lhermitte is also way better.

What’s the lesson here? Don’t use nitrous daily. It’s an amazing drug that is relatively safe but be aware that abusing it is no fun. Spread your sessions, take your vitamins and take care of your body.
