I'm level 81 and I have no idea what to do with all these purple weapons. Help??

I have no idea what I'm doing. What am I supposed to do with these purple weapons? My friend made it sound like we should keep them but I don't know what for, and they're clogging up our inventory. Can you help me?
Edit: thanks for all the help! I think the best thing for me since I don't usually play NG in games like this is offering them to the kodama? Also holy crap I didn't realize that soul cores took up inventory space!
