Thought this was interesting. Currently, excluding Labo Titles, there are an equal amount of new titles as ports from older systems that were developed by Nintendo available for the Switch. Notably, I am including Jump Rope challenge as a new title, if you don't count that or Labo, there are more ports than new titles.

Additionally, almost all of the ports are from Wii U or 3DS, the most recent previous console generation.

Edit:

Based on the comments here, I feel like the way I have presented data is giving people the impression that this is a criticism (and that this is a bad faith criticism). I'll agree that if this were intended to be criticism, it is a bad faith criticism, but this was never intended as criticism, just a sharing some data that I felt was interesting and different that what I have seen from Nintendo in the past.

First I should address, this was made fairly quickly and there are some known errors, that have been pointed out in the comments. This is just based on what the different games have listed as their developer. As people have pointed out, being listed as a developer could mean they only worked on the first game, and had nothing to do with the port.

As far as the comments about me trying to show that the Switch Library is bad, that is not at all what I am trying to show. I think the Switch has a great library especially considering for a lot of people the Wii U ports are new games to them. I am just pointing out something I found that seemed to contrast what Nintendo typically does (which isn't necessarily bad).

In summary, don't take this too seriously. This was not rigorously made, and is not trying to make a strong statement about the state of Nintendo or the Switch's library. The takeaway for me based on this data is that Nintendo is working a lot more on ports now, which I should stress could be positive or negative thing based on what what you look for in a game console's library.
