I reckon I'm going to get down voted to hell for this but I just wanted to express my personal opinions on the games. Just briefly:
Breath of the wild, for me, was a difficult game to get into. I found some of the combat mechanics frustrating as hell and didn't really find the story too engaging. This isn't to say its a bad game because its not. It's a pretty damn good step in the zelda franchise and gives a promising framework for games to come.
But having played several hours of Immortals: Fenyx Rising, I find my self not only seeing the Zelda similarities, but a nunber of improvements which put the game in a more favourable position for me.
Such as the combat. I find this really fluid, with a great variety of moves, upgrades and equipment (which doesn't break on me every few battles).
The story! I love an engaging story. It's what brings me back time and time again. The pleasantly written game and hunourous scenes really help bring the game and characters to life.
The customisation actually feels like it matters here with a great upgrade selection. I'm really enjoying this and thinking what path I'm going to follow in future upgrades.
Am I alone on this, or am I over-appreciating a game compared to the treasure that is Breath of the Wild?
