Gyro needs Deadzones.

Post Body

We all know the advantages of using gyro controls for shooters. But it's always felt incomplete to me as Wii player. Having played shooters with the Wiimote perfecting my settings to fit my playtime, moving to gyro aiming wasn't much of a challenge, but I find one issue still remains. It's damn near impossible to follow your target when they move outside of your ability to move your hands. Of course with the joycons, this isn't an issue, only 1 hand is moving and I has at least a 180 degree of motion, but with the pro controller you have at best maybe a 30 degree of motion from the center. Deadzones allows for us to expand our motion range to follow our target.

If you look at this Deadzone you can see the red box. When your reticle goes outside of the box the camera will move in that direction, so instead of moving the gyro any further or moving the right stick, you just keep the reticle outside of the box until the camera moves the reticle inside of the box. This way when you follow a target, you're either continuing to move with it or you move the deadzone over the targets new location and precision aim. Both methods work just fine and really when you get good at it it can be done so fast you wouldn't even know you're doing it.

I think we ask for deadzones to comeback for gyro aiming it could make the gamea we love even better ad more competitive.
