Post Body

7th Month 262 AC. The Red Keep.

Upon disembarking the ship that had borne him along with Aerys, Tywin, and the others, the first thing Togarion Bar Emmon did was go to the quarters where he and his wife Jaenara had been placed in the month between their wedding and his departure for the Stepstones. He hadn't been gone for that long, so he assumed that she would still be there.

Upon on his arrival, he was relieved to see his cousin Elinor was outside, apparently waiting for him.

"I see the news of my return made it here before I made it myself," he said with a grin, and she snorted.

"Your return? Hardly. The King's return, yes. You must count yourself very lucky, to be so close with the lord of the Seven Kingdoms."

"I count myself lucky to be alive and home," he said. "How is Jaenara?"

"Speak to her yourself and find out, it's not my duty to report on everything you missed," she said, pointing at the door. As Togarion scoffed and made to enter, however, his cousin said, "keep your voice low, last I saw your son was sleeping."

A low choking noise escaped Togarion's throat as he entered the chambers, his eyes almost bulging from his head in surprise.
