Repairing USB port on Nikon D7500
Post Body

Hi all,

I had a bit of an accident with a tether tool recently on a client photoshoot. Very stupidly forgot to attach the tether holder thing and I tripped over the cable at one point and yanked it out. The USB port stopped working with the tether tool but still works with a shorter cable.

I've taken it to a couple of camera shops and they all say the whole board needs replacing at a cost of £350-400. I find this hard to believe as the shorter cable still works. So to me, the USB port is the issue and that if I can repair this, then I'll save myself a great cost.

Alternatively I replace the board myself, I just need to source it. I have experience repairing electronics before.

Anyone have any ideas as to what the best thing to do here would be?

Cheers
