Hello all!
I recently upgraded to a Nikon D750 from a crop-sensor D3400. I knew going into this that I was going to probably have to cycle out my entire lens collection for FX lenses. However, when I first upgraded I decided that in the interest of not breaking the bank that I would stick with a 50mm f1.8 that I had already, an would upgrade if any good deals reared their head on Black Friday.
I decided not to pounce on any deals I saw because it just wasn't in the budget yet, but it's led me to start looking for more budget, maybe older versions of other lenses. I'm thinking about the Nikon 35mm f1.8 (or the older 35mm f2 as an even more budget alternative) as 50mm seems a little too close for when I'm on the streets and not going specifically for portraits.
However, I think I've made up my mind that that lens is good. I'm trying to find a budget wide-angle for landscapes, cityscapes, and astral, so I also need something relatively fast for that. I was looking into the Nikon 24mm f2.8 Prime as a budget alternative to some much more expensive wide angle lenses, but I wanted to know if anyone had experience with it.
Since I'm still new to some of this, I also wanted suggestions for my lens choices and to see what people generally think is the most important. Thanks!
