Why can't I get my Nikon D5000 fixed at my local camera repari shop?
Post Body
So, the video stopped working (I think it's just a button issue), but, my local camera repair shop says 'no can do'. Apparently, Nikon revoked ALL 'grey market' (as Nikon calls it) repairs, requiring I send it to some distant 'official' repair facility. "Does Canon do this" I aked? "Oh no" he says. "I have no problem getting parts for Canon cameras and doing repairs".
WTF Nikon??? I guess I'm going to dump this POS and go Canon now. Sad. You just lost a 20 year customer.
