Wanted to get input on keeping my old D5600 with Nikon F DX 18-300 3.5-6.3 VR ED for wildlife. Just took my first trip to Tanzania and did reasonably well (I think). For me as an amateur, I don't really see the point of upgrading to a Z8 and Z lenses just yet. I'm thinking of maybe picking up Nikon F 180-600 if I decide to do more of this kind of shooting, but not even sure I really need that. Would that be a good purchase? Or maybe that would just be money I should save for an upgrade later? Along those lines I doubt I'm going to be going to Africa very often either so I also want to have versatility.
Can I get your input on this and any suggestions? What am I missing here? I don't have a large budget but could pull the money together for an upgrade if the results were going to be a lot better. I should mention I have several other F series lenses, so part of my concern is I'm going to end up needing/wanting to buy several Z series lenses.
