Hello every one
I have recently (the last 3 month) been trying to get into photography.
the equipment i currently have from my father is
Nikon D5100
Nikon DX AF-S NIKKOR 18-105mm 1:3.5-5.6G ED VR
Nikon DX AF-S NIKKOR 55-300mm 1:4.5-5.6G ED VR
Now in about 6 weeks my family and i will travel from Denmark to New York for a week and i want to bring my camera to take some good pictures and i was wondering if it would be worth it to buy a prime lens to take with me as i have heard that they are much sharper and can achieve a nice bokeh and are faster. my question is which would be better and if it is worth it to buy any
the Nikon DX AF-S NIKKOR 50mm 1:1.8G used for about 100 USD
the Nikon DX AF-S NIKKOR 50mm 1:1.4G used for about 190 USD
the Nikon DX AF-S NIKKOR 35mm 1:1.8 used for about 80 USD
the Nikon FX AF-S NIKKOR 50mm 1:1.8G used for about 120 USD
or if you have any other suggestions
my max budget is around 250 USD
also would you say that the 55-300mm has a to long focal range to be useful in NY
Thanks in advance and have lovely day
