It’s bad. And not just kind of bad. It sucks. Face detection if there’s more than one face is embarrassingly slow and sluggish. I am truly worried about getting in focus shots of people at weddings and events, especially when I’m shooting indoors. It’s definitely better in natural light.

Tonight I shot an event with the z6ii and my new z8 and good lord did the z8 blow it out of the water. I knew it was better but it’s not even close. 3D autofocus is the only mode you really even need to use. Can we get a z6ii firmware update or something so we can have all the AF features of the z8 and 9? I know the sensors and AF systems are different but I’m sure the z6ii could be improved via firmware.
