It’s an odd question. Everyone is going mirrorless and obviously if I wanted to I would just get a Z9 and be done with it.
I am looking for character in my camera, not so much razor sharpness.
I own a D3, but I don’t really use it since I got the D850. The D850 is amazing, but I really want another body that has more megapixels than the D3 and less than the D850.
I shoot mainly portraits, and I feel image character and softness is what I like more than a billion pixels.
Anyone with experience with these bodies have any suggestions?
PS: I really prefer a body with a built in grip so that’s why I prefer the flagships, much easier to shoot in portrait mode. Also I have something like 15 lenses so won’t be switching brand.
Any love for the d700? It’s suuuper cheap and I love the rendering in the files.

Well I guess you’re right about that now that I looked it up, seems like OP has that base covered.
