I am fairly sure it was 2019, it was pre-covid, but also not TOO long ago. I wasn't seeing anyone, so I bought a single ticket and got there early for a good seat. Since I was by myself, the staff at the comedy club looks for other singles so the 4-person tables can be filled. I always wish that wouldn't happen, but it did. They sat a single lady next to me, and while I did find her attractive, I also got a certain *ahem* vibe from her. We still introduced ourselves and we talked about stand up and the club itself. It was pleasant, and we were comfortable enough that the couple who sat at the other part of the table thought we were together.
She told me she loved Nikki, and I feel like we discussed her specials or albums and that she said she was a fan. So the act starts, Nikki is amazing of course and everyone was laughing...but I realized she was not laughing. I dont even think she was smiling. About halfway into the show, she just got up and left! I had no illusions of dating or hooking up, but it came up that she goes to comedy shows alone and I thought it would be cool to have a buddy to go with. I've always wondered if she was offended or if she had not actually seen any of Nikki's acts or if it was some legit emergency.
