So I'm 35, currently making around 30k a year from night shift security. Night shift security is the only job I've been able to tolerate for over a year.
The longest time I've ever worked at one post was three years then covid had me moved to another post and I've been at this current position since. And I'm not sure how much longer I can do it.
I've been hanging in there longer than most my coworkers. It has a high turn over. I do love working in the night. I don't really like dealing with crowds or many people. I'm a natural night owl and I love having downtime.
I'm not into highly physical jobs either. I can do night shift security, but I hate the uptightness of the industry and how it attracts some petty people that are sticklers for rules.
I'm the opposite of petty and being a stickler. I'm probably the most laid back person that many have ever met. If there was a legal industry for psychedelic mushrooms I feel like I'd fit right in. Obviously that's pretty much the complete opposite of a security personality.
I need money to live, I just don't know what else to consider at the moment. Suggestions and relevant thoughts /experiences are appreciated thx 🙏
