6 years 7pm-7am, 2 years now of 12am-8am. I get home by 9, go to sleep around 3pm, and wake up around 10pm. I get plenty of sleep. Every single day I am free to enjoy the day and can get things done if needed. I don’t sleep as soon as I get home, because you wouldn’t go to work 9-5 and get home and sleep at 6pm. I know I am flexible because I am single with no kids or anything like that, but my schedule works perfect and I love having every morning and afternoon to myself. I think if you treat the schedule the same as you would any other schedule, but just shift the actual hours to reflect your working and sleep hours, nightshift is really not that hard. Everyone’s different I guess.
