I had a full M. Night Shamalan movie last night
Post Body

So I started out in a car ride with 4 friends, none real, but we seemed to have kinship. I would estimate that the age range was 8 (my sister, f, let's call her Sarah) yo, 10 (m, Josh), 13 (m,Mike), 15 (f, me in the dream, not 15 irl), and 18 (f, Lora) was driving.

       Lora(driver). Me(passenger)

Mike. Sarah. Josh. It was dark and rainy, we were driving through a mountainous forest, with the intention of coming back from a day out (a shopping trip maybe?) and we were talking about things that were spooky scary to try and scare the youngest girl while Lora was telling us to knock it off. "Scaring little girls is how you get their nightmares to haunt you," she said. Josh, Mike, and I chuffed at the idea while Sarah started to smile.

All of a sudden, a white figure appeared in front of the car. Lora screamed, trying to swerve away, but to no avail. It was too slippery. The road went bump, a curve in the road appeared, and we all went through the guardrail and over the edge.

I woke up primarily unharmed a few scratches but nothing bad. The car, it's lift side leaning against a tree, was quiet. I looked for the rest of the participants in the vehicle, only to see Sarah was missing and everyone else unconscious. Her seatbelt seemed off, almost cut. I carefully undid my seatbelt, and got out my phone - no service. I turned on my flashlight and got out only to see a bloody trail in the mud. My mind only thought on thing - Sarah.

I called out for her as I followed the trail. Then, I saw her. She was laid out flat in the mud. No sign of being thrown from the vehicle, no injuries. Just unconscious. As I bent down to pick her up and carry her back to the car, bright, flashing lights and the whirling of blades filled the air. The helicopter quickly got each of us back up to the ledge to the waiting ambulances.

We arrived at the hospital soon after, the night obviously trashed as each of our parents were called. Mike got the worst of it with a broken arm and leg, and a hefty concussion since his door was the one to hit the tree, bending into the car a bit. Lora seemed to be next with glass in her shoulder and a bit by her eye. Josh broke his hip due to the forces from the seatbelt, and I got off worse than it originally seemed with major bruising of my kidney and a concussion against the center console. Sarah, of course, was unharmed. No one knew how, but when our parents arrived, Lora broke down crying about how sorry she was. Everyone of course forgave her, it was something that couldn't have been foreseen or avoided, especially when she was so young, driving on a night such as this. Her parents told her that she'd still be grounded for ruining one of the family cars, but that it was only for one week. She bawled extra hard into her mother's sweater, and my parents arrived and swept me up in their arms crying. A nurse told them to be gentle and "Please put her down," but they didn't really listen.

A year passed in the dream. All of a sudden it was Sarah, Lora and I in the car, driving slowly in town, while it was snowing heavily. We both had our windows down (we were bundle up, andthe heater didn't work anyway) and we're heading home from like a movie I guess? I had just gotten my driver's license and we were headed back home.

Once again, the white figure appeared. This time it hung from a tree, smashing into the windshield enough to crack it. We all screamed, and I tried to stop the car, slowly skidding to a stop. We sat there, silent. Just as Lora started to open her mouth to talk, a gristled, bony hand came in the open window, grabbing her throat. We screamed as she gurgled, fighting it. I quickly rolled up our windows, the hand caught, slowly trying to escape the pinching glass blade. Finally, the window was almost up, its long finger nails caught in the gaps it tugged it's hand free of them. I pushed the gas and we sped off into the night hearing it wail and thump off the roof of the car. As soon as we were away, Lora took out her phone and called the cops. We met them at the corner before our apartment complex (we must have been neighbors) and they took our account rather nonchalantly and without much care, until we showed them the fingernails. Then they got all stoic and quiet, and brought us to our individual apartments, and told our parents that our houses would be put under surveillance due to what had happened.the door closed and my parents were talking about something, going after the person or whatever. My sister spoke up finally, saying "It wasn't her fault."

Everyone stopped, and our mom asked her what she meant. "It wasn't her fault, she just wanted to play with me again."

I felt a chill up my spine as I remembered the white being from a year ago.

"Mommy's gonna sleep with you tonight, hun, is that okay?" My mom asked Sarah.

"Sure!"

It was quiet that night. Not only with the fresh blanket of snow, but even more than that. I tried to piece together when the occurrences we're happening, but the didn't seem to have any other correlation than Lora, myself and Sarah. So, the next Saturday when our parents were out, I had Sarah ask Lora to come over.

We sat and we waited, watching a movie, myself on guard for that.. thing to return. Sure enough, halfway through a Monty Python movie, the power went out.

It quickly came back on, but it was dim in the apartment. I went to check our personal switch box with Sarah (she was scared) only to be created by the pale being, standing in the doorway. I called for Lora, and she was soon behind me as we stared at the thing.

It was a pale girl with yellow eyes in a shabby, torn nightgown. She stared at Sarah with intent, unflinching, almost waiting for the perfect moment to strike. Lora grabbed Sarah away from me, running towards the nearest lockable door. It growled and lunged. And then I punched in in the fucking jaw.

It hurt, and it snarled and kicked me in the face, but as Lora reappeared without Sarah, she became it's new target. I tried to stop it, but it lunged at her scraping at her face and biting at her neck. I got to her just in time as I threw it off of her, Lora fading into unconsciousness. She and I fought for what seems like a while, Sarah opening the door and running to the fire escape as I yelled at her to get back in the room.

She got outside, and slammed the window behind her going up towards the roof. I pulled at the apparition, trying to gouge out its eyes as it scratched and flailed at mine. Everything I did to her only made her more angry, until finally, I smacked her head on the coffee table so hard she went limp. I threw it into my room as I limped to the window and went to follow my sister.

I got to the roof, Sarah sitting there shivering as I hugged her. She cried and cried, saying that it wasn't fair. "It wasn't fair when you left me." I sat dumbfounded as I realized that I was the apparition, haunting my sister and Lora, as I had died in the car accident, the pale being we thought we saw then, just a deer. And now as my sister was dying of frostbite, Lora came and took her back inside while the police arrived once more.

Lora was taken to a mental hospital where she stayed for self harm, despite not harming herself. Sarah went to counseling for thinking she was still seeing me, pretending I was still alive in her mind. It turned out that Lora had been driving the night before, and that the night of the original car accident, only Lora and the parents were old enough to fully understand the situation, of that my neck had snapped against the roof of the car.

And then I woke up. Shit was fucked man.
