Does taking initiative and refining a workflow as an employee makes the business owner insecure?
Post Body

So I have made basic web based form which does calculations and generates a report based on the values the employees enter. I have made this app after my first week as an employee, I made it to save myself from stressing out(money involved) and doing mundane work. The app works really well, saves some 45-50 mins of stressful manual work process where half of the time goes to re-check and confirm the calculations.

Now after testing it out for couple of days myself and other employees. Based on the feedback, I improved the user experience and fixed all the bugs and shared it to the business owner.

He checked out the app, the reports it generated and tried it himself, after that he didn't speak a word or never raised an issue about it or appreciate it or at worst he didn't even express any objection.

This happened five days back, till now he's been acting like the app doesn't exist.

I am really concerned if he is pissed??? What's going on in his mind? I essentially optimized a workflow and saved a lot of time for employees, where they can do other extra things. Big picture he is saving a lot time, nearly 60,000 INR based on my analysis. Is he insecure of this sudden change or he is afraid of me because of my move?

I can find a better job than this, but honestly I am overqualified for this role, just doing it because I need internship experience 🤡
