Apps like "Twilight" damage the screen?
Post Body

Do apps like "Twilight" that are used for night-time damage the screen? does it ruin the color? or cause burn-in? or whatever?

I recently got a new RMA device and the screen is WAY more vibrant than my old 6p. In my old 6p I used TWILIGHT almost daily, for at least 3 hours... I didnt notice a degradation, or even if there was one. And the differences in screen could be totally related to toher things.

anyway, just curious, is it safe to used TWILIGHT and similiar apps with my 6p and its AMOLED screen?

I wish Google would put back the night-light native feature!!!!!!!! Its fucking 2017, we need that feature! its annoying using the normal colors at night. Once you see the difference its hard going back!!

what are my options, without having to root/install a rom?

also, 2 questions

1) if I wanted to root, what is the easiest way to do that on 6p? 2) once rooted, can I install F.lux or something similiar? or is it the same situation, could damage my phone?

I have F.Lux on all my pc's/laptops and Twilight on my android tablet and my old 6p... but now my new 6p is annoyingly bright
