My Nexus 5 is getting long in the tooth. Enough dings and such over the years and it's developing issues with the charging port and signals. At this point, it's time to probably move on, even though most of the current phones honestly seem like nothing I want to jump to.
Sure, the shiny glass and aluminum or whatever looks great. But part of why I loved my Nexus 5 was that I never wanted or needed a case for it. The soft touch plastic felt WONDERFUL and it was practical too. It wiped clean easily and it had a fantastic grip.
I'm wondering if any other phones make use of similar materials that I can look into. If not phones, are there at least any cases manufactured that use it? I could tolerate getting a new expensive phone that needed a case if there was a soft touch plastic option.
Just wondering if anyone here has found anything else like it. It may or may not help tilt my choice in one direction or another if there was one. Really sad about moving on at this point still. The Nexus 5 wasn't perfect but it's about as close to it in a phone I've had.
