My nexus 5 randomly 'phantom searches' while in the lock screen

Anyone have any reports of this? it is Google Now that is doing the searches and appears to be triggered by voice commands, however I have never actually said any of the words it searches. for example the search it ran around 5 minutes ago was of 'Ventura, USA'. I live in New Zealand for petes sake!
So yeah, is this just me?
