Hey all,

I’m transgender and I take low-dose testosterone 25mg weekly and Norethindrone .35mg daily In Combo to remove my periods. I’m trying out Nexplanon instead to see if I can have a no-fuss way of removing menses. I had the implant one week ago. Insertion was painless and I had an ice pack on my arm for almost the first 24 hours and have had very little soreness and the bruising wasn’t terrible and is fading. I’m really hoping that I don’t get bleeding again like some folks do but I haven’t had a period in 2 years so we will see. Thought I would share my experience in case anyone is looking for info.
